About us
Learning language with fun and results - that is what Talenschool Nick Daniels stands for.
Wondering who is behind this school and why I decided to approach it differently from traditional language schools? Read my story below.
The story
How my language school came into being
My name is Nick Daniels – a Dutch and Spanish teacher, born and raised in Tilburg. After years of experience at various language schools, one thing kept striking me: many lessons were based on outdated methods lacking genuine passion or personalized attention. Yet, learning a language can be so much more than just lessons from a book. This conviction led me to an important decision on August 20, 2024: I founded my own language school. Not just any school, but a place where learning revolves around motivation, enjoyment, and personal growth. And so, Talenschool Nick Daniels was born, built on the principle of Next Level Learning.
Het verhaal
From frustration to innovation
I personally experienced how demotivating traditional language education can be. Despite four years of Spanish lessons, I could barely hold a conversation. This frustration was shared by many of my students in their previous experiences with other language schools. That's why I developed an approach where you learn what you need, in a way you enjoy: with interactive worksheets, explanatory videos, digital games, and themes that truly resonate with you.
Personal and effective
Our courses aren't one-size-fits-all packages. Each course is tailored to your goals, interests, and pace. Students receive:
Vocabulary lists with accompanying practice games
Grammar explained with interactive exercises
Reading, listening and writing assignments with personal feedback
One-on-one lessons where you learn to speak with confidence
And it works: students who started with no knowledge of Dutch achieved A1 level within 16 weeks with an average of 8 or higher.
More than a language
Learning a language isn't just about rules or words. It's about culture, connection, and self-confidence. Students often discover how Spanish or Dutch are connected to their native language, which makes learning relatable and faster. Those aha moments—when the pieces of the puzzle suddenly click into place—are the most rewarding.
What the future holds
My dream? A digital learning environment full of resources where students can choose what suits them best—a pool of language resources, I call it. A platform that grows, just like our students. Because ultimately, my language school is only truly successful… when my students look back on their learning process with pride, pleasure, and results—and secretly miss it a little.
